Committees
The eLearning Committee is a sub-committee of the Teaching & Learning Committee of the Academic Board which also reports to the Information Technology and Services Policy and Planning (ITSPP) Committee.
The eLearning Committee’s Functions include:
- To advise the Teaching and Learning Committee on the following matters:
- Strategies to enhance teaching and learning through the use of eLearning technologies, including the learning resources and learning support required
- Strategies to create and disseminate good practices in relation to the use of eLearning technologies for teaching and learning
- Institutional objectives and policies on the adoption and implementation of eLearning as one form of flexible learning
- To advise the ITSPP Committee in relation to:
- The development of policies and standards for infrastructure and services for eLearning systems, materials and administration, based on established teaching and learning objectives
- matters relating to information technology infrastructure and services to enable and support the development and maintenance of eLearning systems
- University policy in relation to the nature of University support for the development of eLearning materials
- Identification of appropriate platforms and infrastructure for eLearning
- Standardisation of software applications for teaching and learning at UQ
- Standards in relation to support for staff and students for access to eLearning materials, and supporting information
- Identification of resources for the development and maintenance of the eLearning environment
